PMD Clean: The Smart Way to Cleaner and Younger Looking Skin
I have waited to write this review as I wanted to use the PMD Clean device thoroughly to see if it works. PMD claims to transform skin with its smart facial cleansing device that removes make-up, dirt and oil whilst encouraging collagen production. Hence it should leave me with a more youthful complexion that is clearer and brighter. So does it really work?
The PMD Clean
Before I share with you my results, lets have a look at the device itself first.
The outside of the PMD Clean is made from ultra-hygienic silicone anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic and waterproof. Soft bristles on one side and ridges on the back. Super important as there are no nasty, replaceable bristles or pads that harbour bacteria or grow promote mould, this thing is made to be 100% sterile. The device uses AA batteries with no wires or cords which made cleaning the device itself amazingly quick and easy.
The design of the PMD Clean may remind you of an adult toy, but this ergonomic design uses SonicGlow™ technology to deliver over 7000 vibrations per minute to breakdown and remove impurities on one side and massage serums and moisturisers into your skin on the other. Amazing! I love multi-use products! It’s almost like it gives you 2 for the price of 1.
After one month of daily use, my skin has never looked or felt better. Being a mother to 2 young boys, long days and sleepness nights are my norm. I have so much less time to put on makeup and cover my imperfections. However, since the PMD clean is a quick addition to my skincare routine, this means I’m not using any more time than before. I refuse to accept dark circles and fine lines, I think I have a good couple of years before they should be popping up! So, after a month of morning and evening usage, I have noticed that by applying serums/creams and using the fastest pulsating setting all over my face. The first signs of fine lines are a thing of the past, my skin feels and looks fresher, softer and firmer. Even the oil spots on my chin are starting to slowly clear up. I’m definitely rocking the no makeup look a lot more now!
The silicone bristles are super soft so is gentler on my sensitive skin. There are four different settings which I can choose the intensity depending on the condition of my skin that day. I tend to alternate between settings 2-3 for cleansing and 3-4 for serums and moisturisers. I think this also makes it more effective as it doesn’t overdo or aggravate my skin. In my experience the device works better with cream or gel cleansers.
I would have preferred the device to be *rechargeable rather than using disposable batteries, this is a small flaw in my opinion. However, this device does what it claims, so I will continue to use it. I just need to get the travel case for it as this little facial vibrator is coming with me on my travels! 😛 I’m also thinking of getting one for S as I think it would really help with his large pores and blackheads.
I love smart technology and this is a great little gadget in addition to my skincare routine. Have you tried the PMD Clean or any of the other devices from PMD? Why not check them out? If you like smart beauty technology as well, have a read of my review of the Foreo UFO over here.
