My first Dressed by the Kids Day!

Dressed by the Kids Day? What is it?

This year marks Oxfam’s second Dressed by the Kids Day. This year I have decided to relinquish all (fashion) control to my 2-year-old toddler and letting him transform my look for one day so that I, in turn, can transform the lives of those in poverty. Please support me here or text DEBX81 £5″ to 70070 to donate £5 (you can change the amount you would like to donate!)

Last night, me and #JasperBean spent some considerable time going through our wardrobe. Rest assured, there was a lot of frowning, moaning and whining (from me) and tonnes of giggling from my little partner in crime.

So if you see someone looking silly today, please don’t run off! Go up to them, congratulate them and ask for their donation page. If they give you a funny look… Smile and tell them how great they look!

My outfit from my mini stylist actually turned out REALLY well! I can honestly say I don’t look horrendous, I loved the mish mash of patterns! However, if you work in the City like me… you will stick out like a sore thumb! *100% hand on heart this outfit was entirely chosen by my little boy!* This is me trying my best to look “cool” and “not bothered” 😝

You can help too!

Oxfam is involved in numerous projects focused on alleviating global poverty. We are very lucky to be living in an amazing city such as London that provides us with endless opportunities, so please reach into your pockets (for your phone/money etc) and donate to a great cause! Dressed by the Kids Day may look silly, but poverty is no silly matter. It is serious. There is a global crisis going on and there are millions of families who are facing starvation and they urgently need your help. Donate. Anything. Even if you don’t think you can dig a little deeper, you have so much more to give.

There is still time to take part in Oxfam’s Dressed by the Kids Day to give poverty a serious dressing down. Find out more about this incredible project here.

Love ♥

I love this campaign by Oxfam, I hope that by dressing silly and involving #JasperBean as early as possible I can get him to see how much we already have and to not take anything/anyone for granted. We had so much fun dressing up and raising money for a great cause!

Dressed by the Kids Day - posing... sorry half my head is missing
A bit of my head is missing in the image above, but I couldn’t resist posting this as my little mischievous boy looks too cute!

I have to say, I think #JasperBean picked up styling tips from me… Why? Well… I just noticed that we are both rocking the “pattern” look! 😊. I think I pretty much got away with it lightly since #JasperBean bascially chose the items he liked in my wardrobe. From next year onwards, I’m not so sure! He will probably understand that it’s the ONE day he can truly make mummy look silly and embarrassing without a fight! 🤣

Did you take part this year? If yes, please share your experience with me. If not, would you consider taking part in 2018? And if you’re not a parent yet, does it matter?! Get your nieces, nephews, neighbours kids etc to dress you up! It’s all in the name of charity!

Until next time,

Love as always… MsMamaBean x

Omg!! He is so adorable. I’ve never heard of Oxfam. (I’m in Atlanta, ga, USA) but that’s a pretty neat concept. I’m not going to lie when I first started reading I was secretly hoping he’d make you wear a cape! Lol
