Handcrafted Ribbon Roses

January is half way through and as we’re heading towards February, Valentine’s day is just around the corner, and if you happen to read this post after Valentines, then theres Mother’s day and birthdays, anniversaries and so on that beckons us to buy flowers and chocolates for our loved ones. Tired of getting the same standard bouquet each time? How about considering a lovingly handcrafted Ribbon Roses from my Curious Petals Etsy Shop, where each is unique and will forever preserve special memories for you and the receiver.

Valentines might not be for everyone and in some countried such as Mexico, it’s more of a celebration of love and friendship. So not only do you show your affection to your significant others, this is also the day you show your appreciation to your friends too. However, do you need a specific day to show your adoration to people you love?! Of course not! Surprise them with a handmade ribbon rose today!

About my Curious Petals

These flowers were born from my love of roses, but also the fact that I couldn’t have them for my wedding because both me and S suffers badly from hayfever, so instead of just using artificial silk flowers, I decided to make my own ribbon roses to add that personal touch and make it extra special and unique. And so Curious Petals was born!

Why Ribbon roses?

To name just a few reasons…

  • They are low maintenance, you don’t need to water or cut them.
  • They last forever… almost.
  • Ribbon roses can be tailored according to your preference. Choose the colour you like that you want.
  • No pollen, no Hayfever!

Great idea, Nita! What a beautiful solution to the allergic bride/groom problem! I think part of the problem with florist flowers is the heavy use of pesticides in the floral industry, unless you buy organic flowers.

They look so stunning! Some look real and the pen is giving Beauty and The Beast vibes so I’m totally in love

Totally, I have had friends ask for the single red rose for her wedding so that she can incorporate it into her Beauty and The Beast theme! Best thing is, she can buy well in advance and know they won’t die or wilt on her big day!

Beautiful gifts! Where do you get ribbon roses? Do you buy it online or can you get them at a department store, like Michael’s, Target, or Walmart?

Thanks! I agree… I can’t have much flowers in our household as we all suffer from hay fever, at least this will give us some colour and greenery and remind us of warmer weathers ☀️

They’re absolutely beautiful and such a perfect keepsake. I find it really sad seeing flowers wilt but these are a brilliant way to show someone you care. Thanks for linking to #DreamTeam x
